Pastor David Benson's Biography
Elder David Benson is truly a beloved
man of God. The will of the Lord for his life is to serve as a minister of reconciliation according to 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 ;
repairing the breach and winning lost souls. He is called to serve, teach, preach, heal and walk in fullness and wholeness.
David Benson was ordained to the work and
office of an Elder in 2004. Prior to being ordained as an Elder, he also served as a Minister at Spirit Life Ministries International. As
a servant in the house of the Lord, he has performed several ministerial duties including, but not limited to preaching, teaching,
street evangelism, counseling, serving as a Youth Pastor, Helps Ministry Overseer, Intercession Captain,
and as a member of the Board of Directors for Spirit Life Early Learning Center. In 2008, Elder Benson responded to the will of the Lord and founded The
House of Prayer Family Worship Center ("...It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer..." Matthew
21:13, Mark 11:17, Luke 19:46) with the mission of "seeing the kingdoms of this
world become the kingdoms of Our Lord, and of his Christ" according to Revelation 11:15.
Within his secular profession,
Elder Benson possesses over 20 years' experience in residential treatment, juvenile and adult corrections. Prior to entering
the Criminal Justice and Human Services fields, he served in the United States Army and the Delaware National Guard. He is
also an alumnus of Wilmington University.
Elder Benson was born and raised in Delaware.
He and his wife and helpmate, Erica, have been married for 25+ years. Together, they have two daughters.
